About your browser data

Cookies & browser storage

AVIQUO uses cookies and similar browser storage to support sign-in and keep access to your account secure. The AVIQUO application does not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Your sign-in choice

“Remember me for 7 days” is optional and unchecked by default on sign-in and registration. Choosing it allows AVIQUO to keep a sign-in cookie on this device for up to 7 days. You can withdraw this choice here or through the account menu. Signing out also invalidates existing AVIQUO sessions on other devices.

What we use

The storage below supports authentication when you use account features. Keeping your sign-in across browser sessions is an optional choice; we do not use it for advertising or audience measurement.

Signed-in session

The __session_v2 cookie lets AVIQUO recognize your signed-in account and check access to protected pages. It contains a signed authentication token associated with your account, not your password.

Type & provider
First-party cookie, set by AVIQUO using Google Cloud Identity Platform.
Lifetime
By default, a browser-session cookie with a maximum server validity of 12 hours. With “Remember me” selected, up to 7 days from issue. Removed when you sign out.

Email security-code step

If you use optional email two-step verification, AVIQUO sets a temporary cookie to connect the code to the browser that requested it. It contains a random security value, not your password or email code.

This first-party cookie lasts up to five minutes and is cleared after successful confirmation or sign-out. It does not change your “Remember me” choice.

Browser sign-in state

Google Cloud Identity Platform, through the Firebase Authentication SDK, stores sign-in state and authentication tokens in your browser. This supports account creation, sign-in and email verification.

Type & provider
Browser storage on AVIQUO’s origin, managed by Google’s Firebase Authentication SDK. It uses session storage for the current tab, with an in-memory fallback if that storage is unavailable. No persistent Firebase sign-in storage is enabled.
Lifetime
Until you close the tab or sign out; browser restore features may restore tab state. This is separate from the optional 7-day server sign-in cookie.

Your choices

You can browse the public pages without signing in. Sign out through the account menu to end your session. You can also remove AVIQUO’s cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking necessary storage may prevent sign-in and account features from working. Some browsers restore session cookies when reopening windows; signing out explicitly is the reliable way to end access on a shared device.

Essential sign-in storage is used when you request account services. Persistent sign-in requires the separate “Remember me” choice. There are no advertising or analytics cookies to enable. If we introduce optional tracking, we will provide a choice before it starts, including a way to decline it and withdraw consent later.

Other services

Our introduction video is hosted by Vimeo. The embedded player connects to Vimeo automatically when you visit the homepage, sharing connection information including your IP address. Video playback starts when you press Play. We enable Vimeo’s Do Not Track setting to disable player session analytics. Vimeo may still use essential cookies. See Vimeo’s player cookie information. The separate “Watch on Vimeo” link opens Vimeo’s own website.

Billing links may take you to Stripe’s hosted checkout or customer portal. Those pages are provided by Stripe and have their own cookie information. This page describes storage used by the AVIQUO application.
